The Spike 051105
Formally, The Dublin Spire, a 120-metre tall stainless steel spike, constructed early 2003 to mark the millennium celebrations. Constructed on the same site where Nelson's Pillar once proudly stood (to be blown up by the IRA in 1966).
Some people think The Spike concentrates natural energy and once in a while zaps the unlucky ones, possibly pub patrons! :-)
